Acquired Advanced Mobile First Aid & Safety, Inc. (CAD) and Western Safety, Ltd. (CAD)
Bunzl acquires six companies to enhance its presence in the markets it serves. To expand its offering to non-food retailers, the company purchases CDW Merchants, experts in packaging and merchandising solutions. With the acquisition of FoodHandler, Bunzl provides foodservice operators with a greater range of disposable gloves and other food-handling products.
The company increases its reach throughout North America and beyond with the purchase of disposable supplies distributor Service Paper Company in the U.S. Northwest and Schwarz Supply Source, a store supplies distributor operating in the U.S. and internationally. To further extend into the agricultural market, Bunzl purchased Destiny Packaging, a flexible packaging company serving growers in California and Arizona. Finally, the company expands into the safety market in Canada by acquiring McCordick Glove & Safety, a distributor of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The company expands its packaging solutions for growers and food processors with its acquisition of Network Paper and Packaging Ltd. (Netpak) and Marpak Packaging Systems Ltd. (Marpak).
Bunzl acquires Cool Pak LLC, a leading distributor of stock and custom-designed pulp and plastic containers to fruit and vegetable growers, shippers, packers and other food suppliers.
Bunzl acquires two companies in the redistribution market: Tec Products, Co., Inc., a janitorial/sanitation redistributor, and Westgate Sales Corporation, a safety redistributor.
The company purchases United American Sales, Inc., giving the company a presence in the safety supply redistribution channel. Bunzl also acquires five additional companies-Keenpac, Venture Packaging and Distribution, Master Craft Packaging Corporation, Morgan Scott and Cole Hartford, further expanding its focus in the non-food retail, redistribution and food processor segments.

Bunzl acquires Retail Resources, LP, and enters the non-food retail segment providing store operating supplies to department stores and other retail chains. The company also makes five additional acquisitions, including SOFCO and A. W. Mendenhall, extending further into the supermarket, foodservice and janitorial/sanitation redistribution segments.
The company purchases TSN Inc., a convenience store chain and wholesaler supplier. This acquisition expands Bunzl’s other U.S. convenience store business with TSN’s product lines.
Bunzl acquires Enterprise, Inc., and Prolix Packaging, enhancing the company’s food processor and redistribution segments.
